We've written this in easy to understand English as we want to be transparent and not confuse people. Personal Data We Collect

In order to operate an effective service, Tealight collect certain data. Some of this data is provided directly by you during signup and other information is gathered during the on-going user of the service.

The data we collect is dependent on security and privacy settings you have enabled on your chosen access platform but include:

Name and contact data. We collect your first and last name, email address, social media accounts, and other similar contact data.

Credentials. We collect only your username from your chosen social media platform as an authentication source. Tealight have no access to see or store your social media password.

Location data. We collect data about your location, which can be either precise or imprecise. Precise location data can be Global Position System (GPS) data, as well as data identifying nearby cell towers and Wi-Fi hotspots, we collect when you enable location-based services or features.

Review Data. We collect restaurant review data as provided by you through use of the service. This includes where you’ve eaten, your rating and any text you include.

We also collect the content of messages you send to us, such as feedback and product reviews you write, or questions and information you provide for customer support. When you contact us, such as for customer support, phone conversations or chat sessions with our representatives may be monitored and recorded.


How We Use Personal Data

Tealight uses the data we collect to provide you the services we offer, which includes using data to improve and personalize your experiences. We also may use the data to communicate with you, for example, informing you about your account, security updates and product information. And we use data to help make the ads we show you more relevant to you. However, we do not use what you say in email, chat, video calls or voice mail, or your documents, photos or other personal files to target ads to you.

We will not share the information we have collected from you except as described below:

Sharing With Other Users.

Other users will only be permitted to see your username and restaurants you’ve been too if shown in a result search.

Service Providers and Other Third Parties.

We will share your information with service providers and other third parties who are working with us to perform functions and process user data on our behalf. Service providers have access to your personal information only to perform services on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose it or use it for any other purposes). Some of these service providers and other third parties, such as analytics providers, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services when you use our services. We are not responsible for the actions of third parties, nor are we responsible for any additional information you provide directly to any third parties.


Any information that is collected is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may, however, modify and revise our privacy policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to this policy, we will notify you of such changes by posting them on this page or by sending you an email or other notification, and we will indicate when such changes will become effective.
